Guilty pleasures

I thought the school district had lost my phone number or that the teachers in this district have had a very healthy 3 weeks...but I subbed today, and I'll be at my second favorite (soon to be most favorite) school all week! Woo! Money for going to Texas!

And, I got my first package from my Secret Pal today. Yeah, it's a bit late, but I guess school's been kinda rough on her, so we'll give her a break, right? Being newly graduated from school and all. (Mike talked me into walking in May. What a bum.)

She sent some yummy tropical roving (Copper Moose, if I'm not mistaken), Koigu!, a beautiful shawl pattern that I might have to cast on for right now, and some "Canadian junk food." Swedish strawberries and two Cadbury Caramilk Eggs. (Not shown because it got up to 73 degrees F today, and they were all squishy and melty after hanging out in the car for a bit. So they're in the fridge.) She wrapped up everything very nicely and labeled it...what a cool package to receive! Thanks, SP!

I also have a confession to make. I'm hook on Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels. I can read one in twelve hours, including bathroom breaks and making food. I just finished To The Nines, and found out that Twelve Sharp will be here in June. The books are always checked out from our public library, so I found some of my Guildmates that had the books. Thanks Sally and Janet! They're so...pedestrian, and not science fictiony, and not like any other books I read...but I can't get enough! X Wing Solo Command and my Hitchhiker's compendium have ground to a halt! I'm so ashamed. Is there a Plum Lover's Anonymous?
