So...I'm not posting very much lately. Wanna know why? Well, I'm going to tell you anyways. Me and the internet are on a break, as it's not finding enough jobs for me to apply to. I substituted for five days in a row at the beginning of March, and I haven't gotten a single call until yesterday, and now I'm subbing on the 6th. And now that I'm all growed up and graduated, I get to start paying student loans soon. So I need a real, permanent job that is steady and pays me in more than peanuts. And we'll probably have to move out of town. I don't want to leave Socorro! It's all cheap and small, and yeah, I'm a country girl. I don't know how to survive in a big place like Albuquerque. Houston's got a ton of jobs, and so does Eunice, NM, but that's WAAY too big and WAAY too small. I don't want to live in a place where the next big city is Hobbs.
I looked out the window this morning, and I saw something crazy. Let me tell you, in Socorro, we have gotten a tenth of an inch of precipitation so far this year. We usually have a bit over an inch by now. And we've been having some nice, warm days. But today, it's cold and watery enough to do this:
It's already started slowing down, and I think it'll be done by 9 am. Just enough to make the ground a little wet.
