I finished masterpiece number two of this year about 3 weeks ago now. This was one of my super secret projects that I couldn't tell ANYONE about. And believe me, it was hard. I tried to find a copy of the card that it was made from (1996! or before!) and couldn't find it except for on eBay, and then I had to buy 59 cards with it. And I beat all the bushes. Twice. Oh well. I found a great card anyways.
I started this when I was in high school (the first cross stitch project I ever picked!), and then it languished in a bag somewhere for years. Then, in February of this year, I picked it back up so I could finish it for Ben & Kat's wedding. I finished several projects for the wedding...her purse (can you take a picture of that for me and email it please, Kat?) my shawl...big projects. And then I came home, and couldn't think of anything to do. Too many possibilities!
So what do I start?
Yup. It's the kit I picked up for $6.80 in Houston. I swear I blogged about it before, but I can't find mention of it anywhere. Grrr. If anyone else can find it, I'll give you a nice shiny penny.
And when I'm not cross stitching? I'm knitting one of FORTY (40) dishcloths that have been commissioned by Kat's mom and Sandy. Kat's mom wants 36, Sandy wants 4.
Look at what this girl made! Ooooh! So cool! I bought this book, couldn't remember the name, looked it up on the interwebs, and I found this link. Wow. I also found an amigurumi along. I love the purple monster halfway down the page. I think I'm going to start doing these for baby presents, since I'm so far behind and I want to try something new. I'll keep you posted. I think a purple monkey is first. :)
**Edited to add: Kat had a very good suggestion for changing my planetary mnemonic device: My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nachos.
