Hi.

These pages are full of what makes Penny Penny. Lots of crafts, rants, and fan girling.

If all the world is a stage, I'm on another planet

I had fully intended to post pictures of my sewing machine right after I got it. Really. I just made a ton of bath bombs for the craft show that weekend, then hung around the craft show, and I have not had as much time as I want to sew! And I feel guiltier about posting when I'm at work than not posting at all. Stupid work. It puts a serious cramp in my style. But it makes it so i can buy a sewing machine, so I think I'll keep with it for a while. Just enough to get a fantastic fabric stash.

I haven't come up with a name for her yet, but I've got an idea...I want to do a Star Wars planet name, so it kind of goes with our network. We have five computers on our network, all cleverly named after planets. My favorite is the Lappy 2004, which has a Linux partition. It moves around a lot, just like Zonoma Sekot, so one partition is Zonoma, and the other is Sekot. Clever, no? Speaking of Star Wars, we just ordered the most recent series (there are four out, with two on the way this year) of SW books, the Legacy of the Force. This is the blurb I pulled from Amazon:

"40 years following the Battle of Yavin, the Sith rise again, and once more the threat comes from within the Skywalker family. The unraveling of the Solo-Skywalkers is mirrored in the dissolution of the Galactic Alliance. The series promises to be the last major event in the lives of the characters of the Original Trilogy, as Luke and Leia (now in their 60's), and Han, Lando and Boba (now in their 70's), make way for the next generation of Jedi, smugglers, and bounty hunters. "

You want to read it now too, don't you? You're going to have to read the New Jedi Order books first. If Walter Jon Williams makes it to Bubonicon this year, I'm totally taking Destiny's Way and having him sign it for me.

Oh! Lysa asked what happened to the comments! I forgot to tell y'all, I AM NOW COOL ENOUGH FOR COMMENT SPAM. Mike is currently trying to figure out how to allow other people to make accounts, but don't hold your breath. I've been trying to get him to put more links in my left hand tool bar ever since I got a gallery. Yes, I am too lazy to learn CSS. I've got better things to stitch.

Where were we? Oh yes, SEWING MACHINE.

Needle up/down functionality, myriads of bobbins, and super awesome snap on feet, oh how I do love you. Oft times I don't even start sewing because I know I'll be glued to the chair for 3 hours if I do.

Proof! I have been knitting!
